Mom opened her eyes widely for dad in the morning, for Nancy, and the cousins (Frances, Arnie and Rosemarie) and Anthony, Con and Sam in the afternoon, and then again for me and John and Ava and Lenny and Dad in the later afternoon (1 minute 15 seconds). She moved her right arm and fingers, mouth, both feet and toes and ankles alot, Dad and Anthony said that she also lifted her left arm pretty high off the pillow too!! She seemed to be tracking Ava when she opened her eyes too---she did this by turning her head to follow Ava rather than moving her eyes and keeping her head still. Her IPOD with the earbuds in playing music really gets her going. It was so sweet this afternoon to watch Ava and Lenny, one on each side of her, talking to her and doing her physical therapy...the 2 new, up and coming special education teachers. Samantha wrote a beautiful letter to her in the "Love Notes for Dotty" book all about how we all need her so much. She was fairly alert this evening when I went back to visit her at 7:30ish too. Tonight, when we went to mom's favorite local restaurant, the waiter came over to find out how she was and told us not to "leave him out" of the loop of things.
