Mom Update, June 2, 2010, Wednesday
Today is Lenny's graduation from McGann-Mercy High School and Ava's Prom. Pray for us all...neither one of them wants to do anything with mom in the hospital. Mom had her procedures today. The doctors said that the COIL procedure worked. This is good because it is less invasive than open brain surgery. Mom is on a vent now as standard procedure and is heavily sedated because of the vent with breathing tube through her mouth. The drain seems to be working but she may need a shunt down the road...a trachiotomy may also follow as well. They don't know how she will be until she wakes up. Her blood pressure is being monitored and controlled by a machine. She has a catheter and they will be putting a feeding tube into her stomach in the next few days. Please pray.
