Hello Everyone,
Spoke with her doctor today and he said that her CAT Scans and chest x-rays are fine. No evidence of strokes or pneumonia. She is still running a temp on and off. His concern is that she is not waking up as they would like her to. The temp and her not waking up could be due to her age and/or also the fact that they determined that she was having minor, tiny seizures. They are medicating her for the seizures now. He said to be "patient, patient, patient." She will need a shunt down the road. If she is not awake and breathing on her own by the end of the week, she will need a trachiotomy. They are weaning her from the heavy sedation and, at this point, her inability to wake up is not due to the sedation anymore. I asked if there is a chance she may never wake up and the doctor said she will wake up it is just taking a while.
