Mom had a good day. She got her hair cut (they didn't take much off, but it looks good!). Yesterday, I forgot to mention that mom was taken to the recreation room in the afternoon...there was a live singing performance. Dad said it appeared that she slept through it all---but I know she is able to hear. Today, Claudia and Jean did her physical therapy again early in the morning. The physical therapist came in to assess mom's arm (left, with edema) and to show Claudia how to position her arms using both their pillows and the ones that I made. Her arms are now almost in a position as though she were sitting in an armchair---elbows out and at chest level..bent up at the wrist. Dad, Anthony, Con and Anthony Michael visited with her next. They said she was very sleepy (12-3 appears to be her sleepy time). Lenny and I visited this evening and she opened her eyes 6 times---widely!! The longest was 2 minutes 20 seconds and the shortest was 50 seconds. She moved her mouth a lot as we talked to her and answered, "No" (audibly) when we asked if she wanted to exercise. She was very alert. It appeared she enjoyed when Lenny spoke to her. The rash/sore on her left leg looks better today---not gone yet, but better. Tomorrow is our team meeting with the staff at 11:00. Pray for wisdom and a productive meeting tomorrow. Thanks...xxxooo
