Mom had a good day. Claudia and Lenny saw her early today and did her physical therapy and also set up the radio for her to listen to for a while. Lenny said that mom was tired. Dad, Aunt Carol, Flo Aubin and mom's friends from choir came to visit next. Dad said mom was tired at that time too. I came later in the afternoon and did her physical therapy again. She was more alert. She was also able to follow the commands to "Touch your nose, head, mouth, stomach..." and to "Lift up your hand" (right hand 3 times). Dad and I had her hold onto these two plastic tubes we bought for her and then slowly lifted them so that she had to pull down as we pulled up---she did well with this activity too. Later in the evening, Lenny went back to do her physical therapy again and set her up for bed (make sure all the pillows on her ankles, and arms were set up correctly), and say some bedtime prayers. He said she was pretty alert and opened her eyes alot. She currently has no roommate still. Last night when Lenny and I arrived, a new roommate was there but she was gone by this morning. She appeared to have mental difficulties and was trying to both get out of her bed and pull out her trach over and over and over... I am relieved she is gone...I was worried about mom's safety with her in the room and was planning to camp out there at night to protect her if need be. I prayed that God would place only whom He wanted with mom...hopefully, that's who she'll get, if anyone at all. Lenny and Claudia visited mom's old roommate this morning and she was so happy to see them.
