Mom had a pretty sleepy day again today. She moved around a bit but was mostly sleepy. I visited with her this morning. Dad and Aunt Sophie came in the afternoon, and JoAnn, Claudia, Ava, John, Terry and I visited with her tonight. Dad reported that she opened her eyes once, moved around a bit, but slept. Dad did her physical therapy and talked to mom. This evening, she opened her eyes and focused on Claudia and Ava---when she looked up at the lights, her pupils became smaller!! Claudia did her physical therapy, then we played the Sounds at Home and Sounds Outdoors CDs for her and labeled the sounds. Each time we visited, we had to fix her pillows. One of the triangle pillows I made her is missing again...I hope it turns up--- we need it for positioning her arms properly. The best news of today was that, when I visited with mom this morning, she opened her eyes widely, naturally, and she looked right at me and made eye contact!!! She maintained eye contact and tracked my movements as well!!!! She looked like she recognized me because she looked relieved and comforted to see me and she even smiled at me as well!!! She then fell promptly to sleep. Pray for direction in finding the right outside doctors for mom...I am feeling that we need some outside opinions. Thanks.
