When JoAnn and I arrived to visit mom today, I saw that Sister Suzanne, John and Ava had been to see mom later on Monday. And today, Mom had Dad and Donna there, one on each side of her, doing her physical therapy. Also yesterday, I noticed by looking at the charts we keep on mom's therapies (that we do) that the Speech Therapist had been in to see her!!! She actually did therapy with her but wrote that mom was tired (and she was tired yesterday)....but she had an awesome day today!!!
Today, along with everything else mom usually does, she opened her eyes a lot (1 1/2 mins or so each time) BUT SHE MOVED HER LEFT ARM FROM HER SIDE TO HER STOMACH a few times!!!!! She also opened and closed her left hand!!!! And her feet were moving at such a quick and typical rate to the music she was listening to on her IPOD (Gypsy soundtrack)!!! I haven't seen her move her limbs so quickly since before this all happened. She is much more alert and many of the nurses are noticing it.
When Lenny came to see her tonight, she was tired and, when JoAnn and I came later, she was tired but alert to the sound of our voices... We noticed that the Volume of Air delivered through the vent went from 430s to the 590s and 600s every time I stroked her face. We left her peacefully sleeping and all set for the night.
