Mom had an alert day today!!! She opened her eyes a lot and tracked people with them. She was attentive to voices and looked at the speakers. She moved around as always as well. "The Rehab Crew" did an encore performance for my benefit tonight---but Gina (our family niece) stood in for Ava tonight. They were precious. Anthony Michael and Samantha are so attentive to mom and her needs when they are there...you should see them doing her physical therapy...and when mom coughs (not a great sight at all---sort of like choking), they comfort her calmly and tell her she is fine and to relax and that "It's OK Nonny"...I am so proud of them both...they make me cry when I witness their love and support for her. No news from the doctors yet today but we are hopeful. Ava and Lenny began college today!! Orientation...mom would have been so thrilled for them both. One of dad's dear, lifelong friends is very ill and failing fast...my heart breaks for my dad...I worry about how much more he can take...please continue to keep him in prayer. I know I've said it before, but thanks so very, very much for lifting us all up in prayer each day...it is truly the only thing that keeps us going. xxxxooooo
PS Mom had the green diapers today!!!!!! Yippeee for small miracles!!
