Typically, our whole family would be upstate this weekend shopping, eating, laughing...but we are thankful that, although we weren't upstate, we were all together this Columbus Day weekend.
Mom had a sleepy day today. Anthony, Con, Anthony Michael and Samantha visited her all morning into the early afternoon when Dad and Terry came. Mom predominantly slept and, when she was awake, she just stared a bit before falling asleep again. Claudia came this evening and Lenny and I met her there. Mom slept some more. This seems to be the pattern. It is definitely one that we read about in the book, "My Stroke of Insight" written by a brain scientist who suffered a stroke. We don't realize, and take for granted, how much energy we use to do even the simplest of things in life. Mom is getting better though. Thanks to all the prayers and the work of the Lord.
