Mom went to the neurologist for her EEG this morning. I met her at the center early this morning before work so that I could be with her until they put her in the ambulance to transport her. I did her full physical therapy before leaving and got her ready to go. One of her and our favorite nurses took the ride with her in the ambulance. For this, we were thankful. Of course, this didn't go without a glitch...they originally told us to go to Bay Shore but we all ended up at the Patchogue office. Whatever. Anthony and Dad thought they had time so they went to mass but had to rush to get to the doctor's office in enough time for me to run to work. Mom did well this morning. She was very quiet with me though, but gave a few vague smiles here and there.
Dad and Anthony arrived just in time for me to fly to work. Dad went to the center after dropping off Anthony at home. He said that mom was sleeping so he stayed a while and then left. He was upset to find another letter regarding the MEDICAID application and needing MORE paperwork...........He gathered some already again.
When dad came back later in the afternoon, he said mom was wide awake and said, "Hi" "I love you" and "I'm OK" He said that she was trying on his hat and laughing and reading through magazines as well.
John went to see mom this afternoon and evening and said he had a ball with her! He did her full physical therapy They sewed with the sewing card and buttons and used they used the white board to write on and read words and draw. He also had her do some deep breathing as well. He read to her from the All About Me book and he asked where his picture was? She and John laughed alot. John put his and Con's picture into the book and mom thought that was funny too. John said that her arm hurt really badly and that she had trouble using it so we need to ask the doctor to look at it. John felt that she may have injured it in some way possibly.
Dad stayed later tonight and tucked mom into bed. Sounds like she had a productive and content day.
