Mom's Update Wednesday November 3rd, 2010

Hi Everyone,

Kathy and Claudia are in Toronto. Today Mom had a good day. Anthony went
to see Mom. Mom was wide awake and happy to see him. They worked on her
hands and fingers and also worked on clasping her hands and raising her
arms. Anthony also did full pt. They talked and laughed a few times. Mom
worked with the snap lock beads and put them together and pulling them
apart. Did some sewing cards too. Dad came in the afternoon and Anthony,
Dad and Mom went to the Recreational Room and they played a trivia game,
but Anthony had to leave before it started.

While Dad was with Mom in the recreational room the social worker wanted
to talk with Dad. She mentioned to him that "they" have to move mom to
another room. A room that was certified. I believe because of medicare.
Of course Dad called Claudia and Kathy and Kathy put a call into the
head of the facilty. So far, he has not retunrned her call yet. Claudia
called John and he went to the facilty to find out what is going on
regarding Mom moving to another room. John, Dad and Lenny went to talk
to the head of the facilty. As of now they are not moving Mom until they
look into this. Debbie (Claudia very close friend from childhood) went
to visist with Mom too.

Anthony Michael, Samantha and I went to see Mom in the evening. She was
glad to see us.I did her full pt. She said Hi to us. Sam asked her what
does it say on my sweatshirt. It reads " Fight Like a Girl" for (breast
cancer) Mom said it. Sam was so happy that she read it. As one point Mom
and I were watching TV and Paula Dean was on and of course I asked Mom
who's on TV and Mom answer "Paula". Sam wrote on the eraser board "I
have 4 kids". Mom said I have 4 children. "well excuse me" LOL.

While Lenny and Dad where there tonitght a male nurse came in and asked
Mom if she was "OK" and she responded "OK". They took her glasses off,
took out her hearing aids, set the timer for the TV and kiss her good
night.
