Mom Update, February 19, 2011 Saturday

Claudia, Kathy and Lenny went upstate this weekend. When Anthony, myself, Anthony Michael and Samantha came in to see Mom Dad was with her. He put her hearing aids in and glasses on...Dad did her PT on her arms. This was around 10:00. Mom was still in bed. Her CNA mentioned that they were washing the items before they would give her a shower. Anthony did PT on her legs. Dad left for a little while. My family and I were hanging out with Mom and we talked, looked at pictures and sang some silly songs. She was in a good mood and laughing alot. Did not say much.Dad came back around 12:15. Mom was on her way to the shower. So we ALL went to Target, Dad brought Mom's body soap. When we returned Mom was in her chair looking refreshed and comtfortable but sleep. So we ALl sat around her and were talking.. She feel alseep... About 1:15 Uncle Mike and Aunt Pat came to visit Mom... Uncle Mike is Mom's brother. My family and I had to leave to. Dad told me that Mom held Uncle Mike's hand and smiled and talked to me. The speech therapist came in around 2:45 and gave Mom a full 8oz glass of water and drank it with no problem. She was fed all day instead of night. Uncle Mike left around 3:15... Dad was with her until around 7:00 and Mom was fell alseep.
