Hi Everyone it's Con,
Claudia, Dad, and Kathy went upstate this weekend.
I went to see Mom early this morning. She was asleep. I put her hearing
aides in and glasses on. I did full PT. As she was waking up breakfast
came. Breakfast was oatmeal, scrambled eggs, a biscuit, vanilla milk,
orange juice and coffee. I tried but Mom was in no mood to feed herself.
So the CNA and I fed her. She ate pretty much everything. It took her
about 50 minutes to eat. After she ate, she fell sleep. She woke up
about 1/2 hour later. Happy to see me and smiled. I asked her what my
shirt says.... She said "The Beatles"... At one point I had my back
turned to her and I yelled out a big sneezed.... I turned around and she
mouth "God Bless You".... I thanked her and she smiled at me.... We were
watching TV and she had an episode where so starts shaking. She looked
at me and said "Why am I shaking"? I told her its OK and to hold me
tight and it is part of her healing process and to take deep breaths. So
she did and was fine. Thank God....
Jean came while Mom was going in the shower. I made sure I took off her
hearing aides and glasses. As Mom was taking a shower Jean and I went
into the lounge and hung out. When mom was finished with her shower I
put back on her hearing aides and glasses on and went home for a bit.
Jean was hanging out with her and he told me that Nonny had chicken,
veggies and rice for lunch. Jean mentioned that Nonny was shaking alot
and it was hard for her to eat her lunch. She fell asleep half way threw
eating her lunch. Jean left but he made sure to put her gloves on...
About 2:00 I came back with my family (Anthony, Anthony Michael and
Samantha).... to visit with Mom She was asleep. About 3:00 Terry came.
Mom was sleeping. I mentioned to the nurse why they took her off the
C-Pap.. The nurse said her numbers were too high. She was put on the
respirator. She woke up and she had about 3 cranberry juices... Ava
came to visit with Mom. We put the TV on and was watching "Everybody
Loves Raymond"... Mom loves that show... Dinner came and she had chicken
salad, croissant vanilla milk 3 bean salad and coffee. She ate most of
the dinner. My family and I left and Terry and Ava stayed with Mom.
Terry mentioned that Mom ate most of her dinner. Ava left for work.
After dinner Terry took out some lego blocks and played with Mom. She
fell asleep and Terry took her hearing aides out and glassess off and
left.
