Hi everyone,
Jean started his day with mom. He brought her a veggie omelet! He set up the room and put her hearing aids in and her glasses on. He said she was very lethargic and sleepy. He said he could barely do anything with her. Pop came and mom ate lunch and then went to therapy. We don't know much else because dad was consumed with talking about the earthquake. We made sure to tell pop not to let mom watch the news because she would worry about Ava (since Ava did have to evacuate a building and felt the earthquake) and my friend Debbie who just moved to Virginia (my mom asks all the time how is Debbie and how does she like Virginia). Con, Anthony Michael and Sam came to see mom. Pop was still there. Mom was reading the newspaper. She was happy to see them. Pop left to go eat dinner. Sam brought her string to make bracelets and mom helped by holding the string. Sam made mom a new bracelet. They talked and laughed and had a great time. Mom ate grilled cheese with ham and string beans and she ate most of it. She was getting tired but the CNA was at dinner. The CNA put her in bed and Anthony Michael said OK night Nonny try to go to sleep and mom said, "I can't, I have to wait for Poppy to get home." Con assured her that he was home already and that he was safe. They all kissed her goodnight and left.
Kathy, Terry, Jo Ann and I are still in Boston and having a great time. We had a great dinner tonight at our cousin Steve (Stevie) and Donna's house and laughed until our sides hurt! I can't wait to tell mom all the crazy things we laughed about (well SOME of the crazy things we laughed about!)
