Mom’s update Friday, August 26, 2011
Jean started the day with mom. Dad came next and spent the day with mom. Dad said mom did well in therapy. Dad said mom’s cough was so bad today that they had to give her a shot.
John spoke with the social worker who returned his call from yesterday regarding mom’s roommate. The social worker told him that mom would have to move and John said absolutely not. The social worker said she would talk to the roommate and that everything would be solved. Let’s see if that happens. I get very frustrated because the people who yell and scream and keep mom up at night have more rights than mom. We are worried that she won’t get sleep and then not perform at therapies and then they will discontinue therapy.
We called mom from Boston this evening and she spoke to all of us and asked when we were coming home. (She probably is planning to eat her last waffle, pancake, or piece of French toast before I return!!! Hahahaha!!!). She sounded good and remembered that Jo Ann was with us and asked to talk to her too.
We are still in Boston and trying to make a mass exodus back home early tomorrow morning.
