Hi,
Sorry I didn't get this out last night.
Dad startedt eh day with mom since I was told I can't see mom for 5-6 days. I have bronchitis. Anthony came next and worked with mom to stand. He said she was doing a calendar worksheet when he came in and the answers were all correct. He was very discouraged about the fact that mom had a difficult time standing. He said it was as if she had forgotten what to do. She was able to pull herself up but not stand straight and could only stand for 3 or 4 seconds. One thing we have noticed is that she has peaks and valleys. She still goes through very clear times and very foggy times. The one good thing about it is that she usually rebounds back better than before. I just hope she isn't coming down with something. Her roommate was moved because they suspect she has an infection. She is in a room by herself. We have a new elderly erson in the room with mom.
John came to be with mom at night and put her to bed. He played cards with her. He had her place all the cards in the deck in suit and number order. when she finished he put them away and mom said, "That's it?" I guess she wanted to play a game! While John was there a young girl came in to see her grandmother and they started to talk. The girl told John that she just came from school and John asked where she goes to school. It turns out that the girl goes to the school where Kathy and I work---and she is in my class!!!
It's a small world!
Peace and Be well,
Claudia
